Terms of Service

These are the terms you agree to when you use Moto. Please read them — they are written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is not clear, email support@keytoolrescue.com before you subscribe.

1. What Moto is

Moto is a reference tool for locksmiths and key cutters. It brings together key blank numbers, code series, Lishi keyway guides and transponder / chip information for motorcycles, and lets you search it by VIN, by make / model / year, or by key blank.

Moto is a reference, not a guarantee. It is not a substitute for measuring, testing or looking at the vehicle in front of you.

2. Your account

• Accounts are personal. Use Moto on your own phone and computer, but do not share your login or run a team off one account unless we have agreed that with you in writing.
• You are responsible for what happens under your login, so keep your password to yourself. You can change it any time from the Change password link in the app.
• Give us an email address you actually read — that is how we contact you about your account.
• We may suspend or close an account that is shared, that is used to attack or overload the service, or that breaks section 6 below.

3. Plans, payment and renewal

• 24-hour pass — $2.99. A one-off payment. It gives you full access for 24 hours and then simply expires. Nothing renews, nothing else is charged.
• Monthly — $12.99 per month. Renews automatically every month until you cancel.
• Yearly — $89 per year. Renews automatically every year until you cancel.
• All plans give the same access to the same database. Prices are in US dollars; any taxes are shown at checkout.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access until it succeeds.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel any time from your account page — there is nothing to phone in for. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for, and no further payments are taken.

5. Refunds and reversed payments

• We do not refund part-used periods: cancelling stops the next charge rather than refunding the current one. A 24-hour pass is not refundable once access has been granted.
• If we do issue a refund, or if a payment is reversed by a chargeback, access ends immediately.
• Where the law gives you a right to a refund, that right comes first — nothing here takes it away.
• If something has gone wrong — you were charged twice, the app did not work, you meant to cancel but missed it — email orders@keytoolrescue.com. We are reasonable people and we will sort it out.

6. What you may do with the data — and what you may not

Your subscription buys you a licence to use the reference in your own work as a locksmith or key cutter. It does not transfer ownership of anything.

Please do not:

• copy, republish or redistribute the data, in whole or in part, including on another website, app or printed catalogue;
• resell access, sub-licence it, or include it in a paid product or service;
• scrape it, bulk-download it, or pull it down with bots or scripts;
• use it to build, train or fill in a competing product or database.

Every page we deliver to you carries a copy id tied to your account. We use it to trace misuse, and we will rely on it if we have to enforce these terms or send a takedown notice. We would much rather never need to.

7. Accuracy — and no warranty

• The data is compiled from manufacturer, supplier and locksmith references. It is a good starting point, but keyways, code series, chip fitment and programming methods vary by model year and by market.
• We do not promise that every entry is complete, current or correct, and we do not promise a particular result on a particular vehicle. Always confirm against the lock or vehicle in front of you.
• Moto is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Moto up and fast, but we do not offer a service-level guarantee. There will be maintenance, updates and the occasional outage. We may add, change or withdraw features, and we may update the database, at any time.

9. Your notes

The notes you write in the app are stored in your own browser on your own device. They are not uploaded to us, not backed up by us, and clearing your browser data will remove them.

10. Intellectual property and trademarks

The compilation, layout, code and branding of Moto are © 2026 KeyToolRescue. Manufacturer and supplier names (Honda, Yamaha, ILCO, Silca and so on) are the trademarks of their respective owners, and are used here only to describe the parts they refer to. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of them. Ilco® is a registered trademark of Kaba Ilco Corp. Vehicle manufacturer names and part numbers are used strictly for informational cross-reference purposes and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.

11. Limits of our liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example lost work, lost profit, or a key cut wrongly on the strength of what you read here.

12. Suspension and ending the agreement

You can stop using Moto and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the service. If we end the service permanently, we will refund any period you have paid for but not yet used.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a meaningful change we will show the new version here with a new effective date and, for subscribers, let you know by email. Continuing to use Moto after a change means you accept it.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which KeyToolRescue operates, and disputes will be handled by the courts there. Questions about these terms, or about your account, are welcome at support@keytoolrescue.com.
